Product Management and Product Marketing

Crossing the Border

Even though not Product Management related, this is one of the coolest videos I have seen in a long time. Apparently there is a nightly ritual at the border crossing at Wahga between Pakistan and India where the respective border guards on each side perform a dance to illustrate their contempt for one another. They lower their flags at the exact same time and speed so that no country’s flag stays “above” the other, then shake hands, salute, and slam their border gates closed. Thousands gather on both sides of the border to watch the show. These traditions are fascinating; we have so many ritualized “dances” to illustrate emotions like love, but it is more rare to see one built around contempt.
